CANCELLATION POLICY

LIVING DESERT UNIVERSITY CLASSES:

  1. If The Living Desert must cancel your class:

    The Living Desert makes every effort to assure your class is taught when scheduled but occasionally, unforeseen issues can arise. Should issues like an instructor or location emergency, or low enrollment require us to postpone your class, we will provide you with as much advance notice as possible — in most cases, at least 10 business days. Once notified, you have the right to reschedule or request full credit. We advise you to keep this policy in mind as you make travel arrangements, as The Living Desert shall not be liable for non-refundable travel costs.
  2. If you must cancel your class enrollment:

If you are unable to attend a class for which you are enrolled, we ask that you provide us with as much advance notice as possible to help us meet our class schedules. The following chart explains the Advance Notice Class Charge policy:

STARRY SAFARI OVERNIGHT ADVENTURE:

 

Reservations are non-refundable. Once we receive your payment, there will be no refunds unless cancelled by our facility. This applies to no-shows as well. If you must reschedule a reservation, please call the Education Department at 760-346-5694 ext. 235. Rescheduled reservations are subject to a $20 per person handling charge.

 

 

TRIPS, PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

 

Some cancellation policies are dictated by the various companies we work with. If this is the case, you will find that policy printed on the trip flyer. Otherwise, The Living Desert general policy is if your spot on the trip/program/event can be filled, we will refund your payment, upon written notification, less a $20.00 per person.handling fee.

 

SUMMER CAMP POLICIES:

 

Medical Release

       Representing my above named child for diagnosis and treatment, I undersigned do voluntarily consent to the ordering of such care, including diagnostic procedures, medical treatment and blood transfusions, by authorized members of a hospital staff or their designees, as in their professional judgment may be necessary.  I hereby acknowledge that no guarantees have been made to me as to the effect of such examinations or treatments on child’s condition.

       I’ve read the above medical release and I certify that I understand its contents. By signing below I give my consent to THE LIVING DESERT to arrange for routine or emergency medical or dental treatment necessary to preserve the health of my (our) child.

       I acknowledge that I am (we are) responsible for all reasonable charges in connection with care and treatment rendered during this period.

 

 

Media Release

My child has permission to be filmed or photographed at THE LIVING DESERT or off site as a participant of a LIVING DESERT function for publicity/educational purposes. I understand that no compensation will be provided.

 

 

Cancellation/Refund Policy

·        For all cancellations and any changes to existing reservations initiated more than two (2) weeks prior to the start of the camp session, a full refund will be issued less a $10 processing fee.

·        Within two (2) weeks of the camp session start date, a 50% refund will be issued.

·        No refunds will be issued once a camp session has begun (this includes no partial refunds if a camper does not complete the entire weekly session.)

By initialling the registration form, I agree to the terms of the above releases and policies.
